The Extra Life 2015 (tentative) Line-up!

I always get amped every year for Extra Life. Sure, it's a marathon (a 24 hour one to be specific) but it's all for a good cause (The University of Iowa Children's Hospital). You've heard me talking about this all year, and now it's time to reveal the schedule of games that I will be playing on my twitch page: www.twitch.tv/jeff_mcfly

Friday, November 6th: (The Pre-Show!)

Yes! I will be doing a 3 hour pre-show the night before the main event to (A) Get any head start I can towards my goal and (B) To test my equipment/settings/audio levels/etc.

All times are approximate and Central Time:

8:00 PM - 9:00 PM:

Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball - (PC)

If all those words sounds great together, rest assured, the game delivers on the promise. I played this game quite a while back and really enjoyed it. Plus it's got some kick-ass beats!

9:00 PM - 10:00 PM:

Euro Truck Simulator 2 - (PC)

This game is great. Also, it's quite relaxing. Just a nice drive in a big-ass truck around Europe, delivering goods and avoiding the big wreck (or causing it).

10:00 PM - 11:00 PM:

Assassin's Creed Syndicate - (Xbox One)

I have really enjoyed the hours I have put into this game. So watch me stab fools in Victorian London.

======================================================================

The Main Event!

Saturday, November 7th:

8:00 AM - 9:00 AM:

Team Fortress 2 - (PC)

My "Go-to Game" and a great way to get loosened up for the marathon ahead. This is my equivalent of stretching.

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM:

Marvel Heroes 2015 - (PC)

After playing this a bit last night, I got hooked all over again, so I figured I would throw it in the main event. I have plenty of heroes I need to level up.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM:

SMITE - (PC)

Really addictive (and FREE) MOBA. I will be sticking to the "Arena" mode for pure " Gods vs Gods" action.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM:

Rocket League - (PC)

A game that has been the victim of "All these other games are out, so I don't have time...sorry". Well now I have time and look forward to getting back on the pitch.

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM:

SEGA Genesis Hour!

I hit the wayback button and play a few games from the SEGA Genesis library.

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM:

Halo 5: Guardians - (Xbox One)

It's me. You knew I was going to play some Halo. I'll be online, Spartan Charging some fools.

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM:

Minecraft: Story Mode: Episode 1 - The Order of the Stone - (Xbox One)

I'll need a break from all the Halo, so I figure why not dive into a Telltale game? I have very limited experience with proper Minecraft but the idea of a story in that universe is super interesting to me.

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM:

Call of Duty: Black Ops III - (Xbox One)

I get right back into the online shooters. I always stand by the rule of "If you're going to get into an online game, whether it's shooting, fighting, whatever, get in early before everyone starts getting REALLY good". I have a feeling I am going to suck. Oh well.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM:

Playstation 1 Extravaganza!

I've got a big box of PS1 games. So I'll take a couple hours and play some of the hits (and the misses) of the console that brought Sony in as a major player in the industry.

8:00 PM - 10:00 PM

The Dreamcast Show!

I keep the nostalgia train rolling with the SEGA Dreamcast. Man, I thought the Dreamcast was cool!

10:00 PM - 11:00 PM:

Heroes of the Storm - (PC)

There are new heroes I need to try! GAH!

11:00 PM - 12:00 AM:

Brawlhalla beta - (PC)

The game JUST went into open beta and it is so much fun. It is a free-to-play Smash Bros. Great art style, no server issues. I'm a fan.

12:00 AM - 2:00 AM:

Fallout 3 - (PC)

You may have heard of a game called Fallout 4 that's due out next week. Since it won't be out by this weekend, I figure I'll go back to the game that helped the series EXPLODE (pun intended).

2:00 AM - 4:00 AM:

Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition - (PC)

I have not played this game yet, but every major media outlet has nothing but praise for this. Figured now would be as good a time as any to try it.

4:00 AM - 6:00 AM:

Xbox Live Arcade Grab Bag!

I've got a TON of Xbox Live Arcade games that I haven't touched in years. I'll go back and see if any are still being played, or, at least, take a trip back.

6:00 AM - 7:00 AM:

Mario Kart 8 - (Wii U)

I go online and take on all comers. I'll give 'em the Luigi "mean mug".

7:00AM - 8:00AM:

Splatoon - (Wii U)

I wrap up the marathon in a totally cute and colorful way. I adore this game and look forward to seeing what has changed since launch.

=========================================================================

Whew! That made me tired just typing it. These times and games are scheduled to change barring technical failures and any other number of reasons. Again, you can watch me on my twitch channel (www.twitch.tv/jeff_mcfly) and donate at my Extra Life page (www.extra-life.org/participant/jeffofallgames). All proceeds go to the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. See you then!

What's Coming Up in November, 2015?

No time for a clever intro: (A) There are way too many games and I need to get right to it, and (B) I'm still recovering from Halloween weekend...anyway, GAMES!

November 3rd:

Need for Speed - (PS4, Xbox One)

The long-running EA racing series gets a reboot, with really great looking graphics and terrible/terrific FMV cutscenes.

November 6th:

Call of Duty: Black Ops III - (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

At this point, what is there to say about Call of Duty? It's coming out and Twitch and YouTube will be full of people playing it.

Yo-kai Watch - (3DS)

A creature-catching RPG from Level-5 and something I've been really looking forward to since its E3 announcement.

November 7th:

Extra Life 2015

One of my absolute favorite days of the year. I will play games on my Twitch channel, www.twitch.tv/jeff_mcfly , for 24 hours straight, starting at 8AM CST, supporting The University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Gamers from across the nation (and the world) will be supporting their chosen Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Support me by going to www.extra-life.org/participant/jeffofallgames and help me save lives!

November 10th:

Fallout 4 - (PC, PS4, Xbox One)

War never changes. Neither does my excitement for this game. Despite the recent leak of screenshots and gameplay making some fans nervous, I am waiting (albeit impatiently) for the full release and expect to be blown away once again by a Bethesda game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider - (Xbox 360, Xbox One)

The sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot. Where we saw Lara as a survivor in that game, Rise will start to show her as the badass we all come to love her as.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void - (PC)

The (we assume) last chapter/expansion in the StarCraft II series, focusing on the Protoss race and including, I'm sure, a novel's worth of patch notes. I do love watching pro play, knowing I will NEVER be that good.

November 17th:

Star Wars Battlefront - (PC, PS4, Xbox One)

I am even MORE hyped for this game thanks to my pleasant experience with the beta. This game is going to be so damn good and will eat up whatever free time I have left.

November 20th:

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash - (Wii U)

I always have a soft spot for Mario sports games, so I'm looking forward to this,

Other Notes:

- Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, which is a mash-up of Animal Crossing, Mario Party and Amiibo, is due out November 13th for Wii U.

- For Telltale's Game of Thrones fans, Episode 6 - The Ice Dragon will come out for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on November 17th.

- The PS3/Xbox 360 Deadpool game gets a re-release for PS4 and Xbox One on November 18th.

====================================================================

Lots to love about the month of November. We are DEEP into "blockbuster release" territory, so I hope you saved up. Also, please consider donating to my Extra Life efforts, donations will be accepted until the end of the year, thank you!
