What's coming up in May?

April is behind us (and hopefully takes the rain with it, I need my patio beers, damnit!) and now we look forward to what's coming out in the month of May. There are some big releases coming up in the last month before E3, so let's get to it. (Complete with pictures this time!)

May 2nd:

Kirby Triple Deluxe (3DS) - The thirteenth platform installment of the series contains many of the same gameplay elements as Kirby's Return to Dream Land, but now you can move to the background and foreground with a warp star. Also adds a Smash Bros style beat em up game, as well as a rhythm game.

Mario Golf: World Tour (3DS) - Double the dose for good 3DS games today as the new entry in Camelot's long running Mario Golf series hits the scene. This one will feature online tournaments as well. I can't wait!

Peggle 2 (Xbox Live Arcade) - In case you missed it on everything else it came out on, you can now play on your Xbox 360

May 6th:

MLB 14: The Show (PS4) - The best baseball game in town finally comes to Sony's flagship console. This is going to look amazing and play just as good. I need to keep at my player on the Vita to give him an extra advantage when he gets into the next-gen. (I am a 2nd Baseman who was drafted in the 2nd round by the Detroit Tigers and am now in their farm system).

May 7th:

Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure (PC, Mac) - The sixth entry in the long running Tex Murphy series comes out and brings back the glory of FMV games.

May 9th:

Killer is Dead: Nightmare Edition (PC) - It's a Suda 51 game, so it's gonna be weird and full of action and now it's coming to PC.

May 12th:

Borderlands 2 (Vita) - Want to take the "shoot-and-loot" experience with you wherever you go? Now you can! Also includes the season 1 DLC. (Basically 'Game of the Year Edition')

May 20th:

Transistor (PC, PS4) - A future, sci-fi Action RPG from the makers of Bastion. This looks very promising.

Wolfenstein: The New Order (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) - The much anticipated and newest entry in the series hits current and next-gen consoles. This is looking really good, you guys.

May 27th:

Watch Dogs (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) - Are you kidding me? The week after New Order we get one of THE games that got people excited about "next-gen" to begin with? I know I had my copy reserved right after E3 and I can not wait to get this.

May 30th:

Mario Kart 8 (Wii) - Mario starts the month and Mario ends the month. Read my older post about my thoughts on this game, but the short version is this: OMG OMG OMG OMG.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is just a taste of what's coming out in May. As always, these are schedule to change (and probably will) and other games may sneak in and surprise you, but these are the ones I am keeping my eye and wallet on. It's an exciting month ahead and will only build up even more the closer we get to E3 in June.
