What's coming up in April?

With March (and winter, hopefully) out of the way, let's look forward to warmer temperatures, drinks on the patio, and new video game releases. Here's what is currently scheduled for April, 2014:

April 1st:
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate (PC, Playstation Network, XBLA, WiiU) - The companion game to Origins that was originally released on the Vita and 3DS gets its console (and PC) ports.

Goat Simulator (PC) - This game is weird, you should probably play it.

Mercenary Kings (PS4) - The PC shooter comes to the PS4, highly customizable weapons and Metal Slug style graphics.

MLB 14: The Show (PS3, PSVita) - Time for your baseball fix, the PS4 version will come in May but those who haven't made the jump yet can get their hands on these versions.

April 4th:
The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, Mac) - The much anticipated Elder Scrolls MMO hits the PC first before its console counterparts hit in June. After playing the beta a few weekends, it has my interest.

April 8th:
Kinect Sports Rivals (Xbox One) - What was a demo at the launch of the One finally gets its full retail release, just make sure you have enough room in your living room.

Titanfall (Xbox 360) - Finally. We think.

April 14th:
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (PS4) - The MMO that was on PC and PS3 gets its next-gen upgrade.

April 15th:
2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil (PS3, Xbox 360) - The biggest sporting event in the world gets the annual video game treatment. GO GO USA!

War of the Vikings (PC) - The studio behind War of the Roses takes the medieval-themed action game and gives it a Viking coat of paint. 64 players for Team Deathmatch or Arena modes.

April 16th:
Trials Fusion (XBLA, Xbox One, PS4) The much-heralded Trials series comes to the next generation.

April 18th:
Tropico 5 (PC, Mac, Linux, XB360) The popular city builder gets released and will feature co-op/competitive multiplayer for the first time in the series.

April 24th:
Trials Fusion (PC)

April 25th
Dark Souls II (PC)

NES Remix 2 (WiiU) - The follow up to the original retro mash up micro game collection.

Of course these are all subject to change and probably will, and there are other games being released in April but these are the main ones I am keeping my eye (and probably wallet) on.
